Hindu Goddess Akhilandeshwari (Akhilandeshvari).
Artist Annabelle Lewis depicts the Hindu Goddess Akhilandeshwari/Akhilandeshvari.
Akhilandeshvari’s name is a microcosm: broken up into its parts, it’s a pretty obvious reference to a goddess: Akhila (universe) and Ishwari (sovereign). But the word itself, ‘akhilanda’ apparently can be translated as both ‘always broken’ and ‘never not broken’. Akhilandeshvari rides contentedly on a crocodile, and (I believe) reminds us that incredible power can come from the times we feel most vulnerable and cracked open.
