Nettle leaf has been used since ancient times for healing a strength, and was believed to reverse hexes. Popular in home warding spells and to hang/sprinkle throughout the home to ward off evil and provide protection to the inhabitants. It has been used in exorcisms and cleansing rituals. 

A traditional medicine in Europe, North Africa and Asia, it was used topically to ease joint pain and in tea form to help regulate blood pressure and histamine levels. Thought to enhance fertility, particularly in men, and to cleanse the blood and control fever.
