The catnip plant is a perennial related to mint and is rich in antioxidants. Traditionally used in humans as a treatment for restlessness and to calm the nerves, it is also said to help with nausea and to settle the stomach. Conversely, when administered to cats, this herb induces a euphoric and playful effect known as "The Zoomies".
